Why we started.

POUCH ELECT is the first nicotine pouch website in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. It is run from Sulaymaniyah — the city also written Slemani or Sulaimani.

Before it, finding out which pouches were in the country, and at what strength, meant asking around: a photo in a WhatsApp group, a shelf in somebody's shop, a brand name with no mg figure attached. From Slemani, Erbil, Duhok, Kirkuk or Baghdad, it was the same guesswork.

So we put the range on one site. Every product page gives the brand, the flavour, the format and the nicotine strength printed on the tin, in mg, so two products can be compared before anyone gets in a car.

We stock what we would use ourselves, and we do not claim the products are something they are not. The pouches listed here are tobacco-free and smoke-free, but they are not a stop-smoking medicine: they contain nicotine, which is addictive.
